The Hurricanes dealt the Devils their third 5-1 loss of these playoffs in Game 1 on Wednesday night. New Jersey has responded well to adversity thus far this postseason, and while they would rather avoid it in the first place, they now know they can overcome it. They can give the Hurricanes another tough test in Game 2 as they look to avoid going home needing to win four of five games to advance. This should be an intense matchup.

The Devils lost 5-1 on Wednesday, just like in the last round when they lost Game 1 to the Rangers 5-1.
