The San Francisco 49ers (5-0) have emerged as clear favorites for the Super Bowl, with odds shifting to +460 (from +550) at KasinoBets.com Sportsbook and just +350 at DraftKings after their dominant 42-10 victory over the Cowboys. The Chiefs (4-1) are priced at +550, with the Eagles (5-0) not far behind at +700.
The Texas Rangers are now -1000 favorites to reach the AL Championship Series after clinching back-to-back road wins against the Baltimore Orioles, including a thrilling 11-8 victory in Game 2 on Sunday. However, the Twins and Astros are deadlocked at 1-1 after Minnesota’s 6-2 win in Houston on Sunday.

The Raiders have been struggling and are heavily reliant on Davante Adams and Josh Jacobs. With three consecutive losses and questionable performances from Jimmy Garoppolo, the Raiders are facing challenges. In fact, two of his three interceptions against the Steelers seemed aimed at the defense. Conversely, the Packers are recovering well, having had 10 days between games. MLB Best Bet of the Day: Run Line Pick – PHI Phillies +1.5
Reasoning
In a stunning turn of events, the Philadelphia Phillies ventured into Atlanta and secured a victory against Spencer Strider and the Braves in Game 1. However, what’s even more astonishing is that Ranger Suarez and the Phillies bullpen managed to keep the Braves’ offense scoreless for a full nine innings. This marked the first time all season that the Braves failed to score a run in a home game. It’s worth noting how remarkable it is that the Braves went the entire season without being shut out at home. Furthermore, it’s even more impressive that the Phillies achieved this without their ace.
Now, as Game 2 approaches, Zack Wheeler, with five days of rest, returns to the mound for the Phillies. Wheeler put on a remarkable performance in the Wild Card round against the Marlins, allowing just one run and five hits in 6.2 innings. His next postseason start will be against another divisional rival, and this won’t be the first time he’s faced the Braves this year. In three regular-season outings against Atlanta, the ace allowed seven runs, 13 hits, and four home runs in 19 innings.
Max Fried is undeniably one of the best pitchers in baseball when he’s in good health. Unfortunately, staying healthy has been the challenging part of his season. Fried battled numerous injuries and missed about half of the season. He also missed the last week or so at the end of the regular season due to a blister on his throwing hand. Therefore, this will be his first start since September 21. It’s uncertain how much the blister has healed and how it might affect him. However, assuming it’s healed, Fried has an excellent opportunity to deliver a quality outing. Fried has historically been dominant against the Phillies, and in his one start against Philadelphia this year, he pitched five innings and surrendered only one run and four hits.
While it’s a challenging decision to make, if I had to choose, I’d lean towards the Phillies +1.5 run line.
The Phillies +1.5 (-165) was available at the time of publishing and is playable at that number.
